Al Tsunagaru’s summer discovery: two Tokyo nights, a Hakone onsen ryokan with kaiseki, then Osaka for a Kyoto day and Universal Studios Japan. Private Hiace (10-hour hire on touring days) and a Mishima–Shin-Osaka Green Car seat. International flights are not included. Hotels named: Royal Park Ginza, Hotel Indigo Hakone Gora, voco Osaka Central, subject to availability. Child add-on (12 and under, co-sleeping, breakfast included): ¥88,000.

Itinerary

Tokyo

Private pickup from Narita or Haneda. Check in to an upper-upscale Tokyo hotel. 20:00 welcome teppanyaki dinner in Shinjuku; 21:30 neon stroll.

Tokyo

Hiace 10:00–20:00. Asakusa (Senso-ji and Nakamise); Harajuku and Omotesando lunch; Takeshita Street; Shibuya Crossing and rooftop; kimono and tea ceremony; return to the hotel.

Hakone

Hakone Open Air Museum; lakeside lunch; Lake Ashi cruise with Mount Fuji (weather permitting); Owakudani volcanic valley and black eggs; luxury onsen ryokan; private onsen and kaiseki dinner.

Osaka

Ryokan breakfast and morning onsen. Private transfer to Mishima Station; Green Car shinkansen to Shin-Osaka. Shinsaibashi lunch; free time at Osaka Castle or Namba; Dotonbori night walk.

Kyoto

Return day from Osaka. Fushimi Inari Taisha; obanzai or light kaiseki lunch; Arashiyama Bamboo Grove and Tenryu-ji; Nishiki Market; samurai experience or zen meditation; return to Osaka.

Universal Studios Japan and shopping — day 6

Osaka

USJ from about 10:15 (Express Pass strongly recommended). Evening Shinsaibashi or Amerikamura. Farewell dinner: premium Wagyu yakiniku or Osaka kappo.

Osaka

Optional Osaka Castle grounds. Lunch near the airport. Transfer to Kansai International (check in 3 hours before departure).
